Seniors' Concierge 

 

Contact the Community’s Senior Concierge to ask about all the opportunities for seniors and caregivers in the community. From conversation groups to transportation services the Senior Concierge has all the information to match you with any social, recreational, or caring service you like.

 

 

Stay Connected 

 

For seniors with little to no contact with the outside world, they can often feel isolated from family and friends. Here, you will find multiple ways to keep seniors connected and engaged with each other and the Jewish community.

For seniors, keeping fit and having fun helps the body stay strong and mind stay sharp.

 

There are many benefits to keeping active, including enhanced mental and emotional well-being, improving vitality and extending life, better relationships, improved memory and brain function, and as a way to alleviate stress and anxiety.

Support Services

 

Seniors can benefit from the understanding and support of others challenged by similar circumstances. Older Adult Support groups are run periodically and deal with such topics as grief and loss, living with cognitive impairment, women’s empowerment, and supporting care givers.

 

 

Transportation

 

Our community understands that transportation may become a challenge for some seniors in our community. Learn more about how you can get help accomplishing your daily routine such as transportation to and from grocery stores, medical appointments, community events, and more.

The Saul and Claribel Simkin Centre is a non-profit personal care home that provides high quality care and services to its residents in accordance with Jewish values and traditions, including a commitment to kedushah/sanctity, derech eretz/respect for all people, and kavod/honour due each person.
