Through the National Community Security Program, we have assumed the responsibility of leading collaborative, community-wide efforts to increase security preparedness and confidence through ongoing training and assessment.
In partnership with the Centre of Israel and Jewish Affairs and experts in the field, we continually develop best practices to enhance the safety, security and resilience of Winnipeg’s Jewish schools, synagogues, and other Jewish institutions.
This is achieved through the development of comprehensive, community-wide security protocols, ongoing training for institutions’ staff, implementation of new technologies to enable monitoring and security, and engagement of third-party firms and off-duty police to provide security services.
