Federation lead a Community-Wide Chanukah Candle Lighting for the first candle on December 16th in partnership with our 12 local beneficiary agencies, synagogues and other local Jewish organizations.  Festivities started in the Kanee Foyer at 4PM as over 200 guests lined up to sample sufganiot and partake in free holiday activities followed by the candle lighting at 5PM. Local Rabbis and community leaders greeted an enthusiastic public of community members and government representatives followed by Cantor Mass and the Shaarey Zedek Bínai Mitzvah Club who lead the crowd in a resounding Maoz Tzur that was later aired on national television!
