The Jewish Heritage Centre preserves the United Jewish Restitution files from the 1950s and early 1960s in its archive. Jewish Child and Family Service has facilitated later claims for Holocaust survivors.  As our community commemorates Kristallnacht are pleased to present “Reckonings,” a film directed by award-winning filmmaker Roberta Grossman, which recounts the tense negotiations between Jewish and German leaders. Under the constant threat of violence, they forged ahead, knowing it would never be enough but hoping it could at least be an acknowledgment and a step towards healing.
