Lion of Judah Closing Event – Pirouette into spring at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet 

On April 24, Lion of Judah (LOJ) of Jewish Federation of Winnipeg  celebrated the closing of a very successful 2017 CJA Campaign at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet.     

LOJ members attended a RWB Closed Rehearsal, where they enjoyed an excerpt from Carmina Burana.  After the rehearsal, Tara Birtwhistle (RWB Ballet Master) and Jo-Ann Sundermeier (RWB Principal Dancer) shared fond memories of their experiences on the 2010 joint Jewish Federation of Winnipeg and Royal Winnipeg Ballet Mission to Israel. At refreshment time, dancers and guests had the opportunity to mingle and enjoy very interesting conversations. 

To add more excitement to an already amazing event, the Argentinian choreographer Mauricio Wainrot, conducted the rehearsal of his signature work, Carmina Burana.
