This is the first year that the Jewish Federation of Winnipeg commemorated International Holocaust Remembrance Day. The program featured Canadian author and child of Holocaust survivors, Endre Farkas, reading from his book Never, Again about the theft of innocence by forces over which there is no control. There were also performance excerpts from his play Surviving Wor(l)ds which revisits the terrors of the Holocaust through the stories of Farkas’s parents and through his own journeys.
