Through our partners at the Center for Jewish & Israel Affairs (CIJA), the Federation regularly publishes statements of interest to the Jewish community, such as statements from the Prime Minister, Leaders of the opposition, etc. Meetings are routinely conducted by the Public Affairs and Advocacy Committee (PAAC) with local MPs and MLAs to discuss issues of importance to the Jewish community. PAAC also meets with various members of the Provincial Caucus to discuss ongoing issues of concern such as antisemitism, potential projects within the community and with Israel. We also liaise regularly with the Consul General of Israel and the Ambassador of Israel to Canada.
