Description: Rabbi Marcelo Bronstein - “The Torah of Sustainability. living in a 21 century Sustainable Community laecovilla.com in the Costa Rican Mountains.”

Rabbi Marcelo Bronstein, is a clinical Psychologist, Rabbi and Mindfulness facilitator. He has served as a senior Rabbi at Congregation B’nai Jeshurun in Manhattan for 24 years. In that role, he brought his passion for Jewish mindfulness to his congregation in partnership with his beloved friend Rabbi Rachel Cowan. Marcelo’s reverence for nature led him to move, together with his wife, Karina Zilberman, to “La Ecovilla,” in Costa Rica: a 21st century sustainable community that he now calls home. In addition, he has a private practice as a psychologist in Costa Rica, he leads Jewish Mindfulness retreats in nature and sees clients in person and online.

Topic: "Ain Kemach Ain Torah”: If there is no flour, there is no Torah. Join us this Shavuot to celebrate the giving of Torah at Sinai and the renewal of our agricultural cycle. But what does agriculture have to do with Torah? Get ready to story tell and craft as we explore what the famous Talmudic saying, "Ain Kemach Ain Torah” can teach us about these two seemingly distinct aspects of the holiday of Shavuot.
