The Jewish Heritage Centre of Western Canada in partnership with the Canadian Museum for Human Rights and the Portuguese community of Winnipeg presents avirtual  program on the Portuguese diplomat, Aristides de Sousa Mendes who was his country's consul-general in Bordeaux France during World War II. Declared Righteous Among the Nations by Yad Vashem, de Sousa Mendes saVed 30,000 refugees during the war, of which 10,000 were Jews. More details TBA.
