The Jewish Heritage Centre’s annual Sol and Florence Kanee Distinguished Lecture has brought world-class speakers to Winnipeg audiences and has become an eagerly anticipated event in our city. While we cannot gather together in person this year, we are pleased to announce that we will be holding a virtual series taking place in the spring and autumn of 2021, featuring exciting and renowned speakers from Canada and across the globe.

Our second event of the series will take place on May 13 1t 3 pm CST and and will feature Bob Rae, Canada’s Ambassador to the United Nations in conversation with Irwin Cotler, Canada’s newly appointed Special Envoy on Preserving Holocaust Remembrance and Combatting Antisemitism and the Chair of the Raoul Wallenberg Centre for Human Rights.  The two will discuss the current state of human rights around the globe.

This virtual event is free. Ticket information available in early April at jhcwc.org/programs/
